Sasuke Profile - narutofansThe early years of Sasuke's childhood were spent living in the shadow of his older brother, Itachi Uchiha, who had proven time and again that he was an extremely talented ninja. Because of Itachi's successes, most of the members of the Uchiha clan looked to Itachi as the clan's future, the biggest proponent of this idea being Sasuke's father, Fugaku Uchiha. Due to this focusing on Itachi, Sasuke did what he could to prove himself to his family, though no amount of training could help him in surpassing the milestones set in place by his brother. Itachi, aware of Sasuke's struggle for recognition, tried to shift some of their father's attention to Sasuke, even offering to train Sasuke in various fields of ninja abilities. Although Itachi succeeded in getting Fugaku to spend more time with Sasuke, much of that time was still dedicated to Itachi, and all the while Itachi never lived up to his promises of training Sasuke.
As time went by, Itachi's standing in the clan began to falter as his trustworthiness was constantly called into question. At this time, Itachi also began to create a more competitive relationship with Sasuke, challenging Sasuke to surpass him. Because of Itachi's changing personality, Fugaku began to take a more active interest in Sasuke's development, teaching him the Great Fireball Technique in less time than Itachi had taken to learn it, which also gave Sasuke proper membership into the clan. Most prominently, Fugaku encouraged Sasuke to not follow in Itachi's footsteps, the former prodigy of the clan having lost his father's confidence.
Soon after receiving the attention from his father that he had so yearned for, Sasuke returned home late one evening to find all the members of his clan dead. After finding Itachi standing over the bodies of their parents, indicating he was the one responsible for the clans' murders, Itachi informed Sasuke that he wasn't worth killing. As he left, Itachi repeated his encouragement to Sasuke to get strong enough to surpass him, and disappeared into the night. From that day forth, Sasuke lived as an orphan, longing for the parents that had been taken from him and allowing his brother's words to fester. Soon after the clan's annihilation, Sasuke's only goal in life became to gain power through any means necessary in order to kill Itachi and avenge the clan, but he got a curse mark and he was turned to the dark side with orochimaru

Kakashi's Profile
Kakashi is one of the Hidden Leaf Village's "Jounin" (elite/top-level ninja), and Team 7's trainer/teacher. He wears a ninja mask covering his face up just below the eyes and wears his headband skewed on his head, covering his left eye. At first Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke think he's not much of a teacher nor ninja, but when Kakashi places them under his "Survival Training" course, the three "Genins" (rookie/first-level ninja) realize the value of teamwork in getting the mission done. Kakashi Hatake (Naruto) Kakashi's unique ability is the use of the "Sharingan" in his left eye. It is an ability unique to the Uchiha clan (Sasuke also has a weaker version of this ability), yet Kakashi is not from Uchiha. The "Sharingan" allows the user to copy and predict the movements of any genjutsu or ninjutsu technique used against him (except for bloodline trait techniques). Of course, you would have to SEE the ability/technique first in order to copy it, and using the Sharingan too much drains a lot of energy from Kakashi's body since he is not from Uchiha. The story of how Kakashi obtained his Sharingan comes from the manga, told in Kakashi Gaiden, which is the side story that separates the two parts of Naruto. After Kakashi Gaiden, the Naruto story picks up again 2 1/2 years later. Currently, the anime series is still in the first part of the Naruto story and hasn't yet reached the Kakashi Gaiden part. However, odds are that Kakashi's Sharingan origin will be the same (or at least very similar to) the one in the manga. Anyway, lets get on with it.... When Kakashi graduated as a jounin, his teammates had to give him a present, but Uchiha Obito forgot. They also had to do a mission on the same day. On that mission to the grasslands, they got attacked by a group on rock ninjas. The rock ninja's can turn invisible, and slashed Kakashi's left eye (that's how he got the scar). Later, Uchiha Obito gets his whole right side crushed by a huge rock thrown by a rock-ninja. With the last of his strength, Obito tells Kakashi the last gift he will ever give to him is his left Sharingan eye. So then Rin, with her special ability, transplanted Obito's eye to Kakashi. Kakashi is not without his "lighter side", though, as one of his "quirks" is reading some kind of adult books titled "Icha Icha Paradise" and "Icha Icha Violence". Nothing, not even survival training, can stop Kakashi from reading through the pages just to "see what happens next"! Oh, and the reason Kakashi is always late is because his friend, Obito, was always late, and he choose to adopt his old friend's habit. Unfortunately, Uchiha Obito's body was never recovered, so instead of a grave, he visits a large stone monument that serves as a memoria for all those who died for the mission's completion. Kakashi's name literally means "scarecrow".Editor's Note:
Ichya Ichya Paradise was translated to "Make-Out Paradise" in the US version of SHONEN JUMP, but would be more closely translated to "Come Come Paradise" or "Flirting Paradise". Additionally, "Icha Icha Violence" was translated as "Make-out Violence". I'm also told that Kakashi reads another book/magazine, "Icha Icha Tatics". He was the replacement for sasuke in naruto's squad.

Naruto Profile
Naruto
Twelve years before the events at the focus of the series, the nine-tailed demon foxattacked Konoha. Powerful enough to raise tsunamis and flatten mountains with a swish of one of its tails, it raised chaos and slaughtered many people, until the leader of the Leaf Village – the Fourth Hokage – sacrificed his own life to seal the demon inside a newly-born child, Naruto Uzumaki. The Fourth Hokage, who was celebrated as a hero for sealing the demon fox away, wanted Naruto to be respected in a similar light by being the containment vessel for the demon fox.
The Leaf Village, however, shunned him, regarding Naruto as if he were the demon fox itself and mistreated him throughout most of his childhood. A decree made by the Third Hokage forbid anyone to discuss or mention the attack of the demon fox to anyone, even their own children. However, this did not stop them from treating him like an outcast and as a result he grew up an orphan without friends, family, or acknowledgment. He could not force people to befriend him, so he sought acknowledgment and attention the only way he knew – through pranks and mischief.
However, that soon changed after Naruto graduated from the Ninja Academy by using his Multiple Shadow Clone Technique to save his teacher, Iruka Umino, from the renegade ninja Mizuki. That encounter gave Naruto two insights: that he was the container of the demon fox, and that there was someone besides the Third Hokage who actually cared for and acknowledged him. His graduation from the academy opened a gateway to the events and people that would change and define his world, including his way of the ninja for the rest of his life.[4]
The main story follows Naruto and his friends' personal growth and development as ninja, and emphasizes their interactions with each other and the influence of their backgrounds on their personalities. Naruto finds two friends and comrades in Sasuke Uchiha and Sakura Haruno, two fellow young ninja who are assigned with him to form a three-person team under an experienced sensei named Kakashi Hatake. Naruto also confides in other characters that he meets throughout the series as well. They learn new abilities, get to know each other and other villagers better, and experience a coming-of-age journey as Naruto dreams of becoming the Hokage of the Leaf Village.
Throughout all of the Naruto plot, strong emphasis on character development changes the plot, with very few things happening because of chance. At first, emphasis is placed on Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura, who are the members of Team 7. However, other characters are developed, such as Kakashi, Tsunade, and Jiraiya, as well as Naruto's peers in the other teams and villages. Several major villains come into play as well, the first being Zabuza Momochi, a missing-nin from Kirigakure, and his partner, Haku. Later, in the Chunin Exams arc, Orochimaru is introduced as an S-Class missing-nin at the top of Konoha's most wanted list. Later still, a mysterious organization called Akatsuki begins to pursue Naruto for the nine-tailed demon fox inside him. Then when he gets into a battle with sasuke he used the nine-tailed fox inside him to sav sasuke, but to also bring him back to the village, but it didnt work and now he has a 3-man squad(kakashi became a replacement of sasuke's position in the squad).
